Ty Silva

Ty and Cina Silva have been Assemblies of God missionaries in Asia Pacific (AP) since 1978. In 2015, they moved to Taiwan from the Philippines where they had served for 37 years. 

They currently are Area Directors for the Northern Pacific Rim nations of Mongolia, the Koreas, Japan and Taiwan for the Assemblies of God World Missions (USA).  In this capcity they serve the AGWM missionaries in a pastoral and administrative role and are responsible for AGWM activities in these nations.

Ty and Cina are also Lead Pastors of Agape International Christian Assembly (ICA) in Taipei.  Agape ICA is one church meeting in seven locations and is focused on reaching the international and English-speaking Taiwanese communities. People from more than 20 nations make up the church family of Agape ICA.

Previously, the Silvas served as the AP Regional Ministry Directors for Youth and Campus Ministry.  Their focus was on helping to establish student ministries in Asia Pacific through vision casting, training workers and providing materials for youth and student ministry.  The Silvas founded the Asian Institute of Youth Studies program at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) in Baguio City, Philippines. Together, they served on the global University Ministry Commission for AGWM from 2001-2018.

The Silvas also served as Regional Directors for OneHope (formerly Book of Hope) in Asia Pacific from 1997-2015. During that time more than 120 million Asia Pacific children and youth received their own copy of the story of Jesus through the Book of Hope and other OneHope tools.

Ty and Cina have one daughter, Jaimee, who is an ordained minister/missionary with AGWM (USA) serving in Thailand in children's ministry.  From 2007-2018 she served as the Children's Pastor of International Christian Assembly (ICA) in Bangkok.
